Love Butterflies? Make a Puddler (Drinking Fountain) for Them!
Class experience
In this one-time class, students will learn about what butterflies need to stay healthy. We will discuss how butterflies get nectar from flowers, and how they get their vitamins and minerals from the soil or clay. Students will make their very own butterfly puddler from a shallow dish that works like a butterfly drinking fountain. We will discuss the best places to locate their puddler and how to keep it clean. If time allows, we will also explore some of the other insects that might visit...
