In this engaging and interactive class, students will explore the world of insects with a special focus on how bugs attract mates. We will learn about various species, including the Love Bug, and discover the fascinating ways insects communicate, dance, and display colors to find their perfect match. What will be taught? Introduction to different insects and their unique mating behaviors. The science behind Love Bugs and why they are called that Fun facts about how insects use sound, light, and movement to attract mates Hands-on fingerprint art to create heart-shaped bugs Class Structure: A warm welcome and introduction to the day’s insect theme A short, engaging lesson with colorful visuals and fun facts Discussion and sharing of bug-themed ideas A guided fingerprint art activity using markers to create love-themed bugs A chance for students to showcase their artwork and ask questions Teaching Style & Interaction: My teaching style is interactive and engaging, encouraging curiosity and participation. Students will have opportunities to share their thoughts, ask questions, and engage in discussions about insects. The lesson will be presented with a mix of images, fun trivia, and storytelling to make the content exciting. The hands-on art activity will provide a creative outlet for learners to reinforce what they’ve learned. This class is designed to be both educational and fun, sparking an interest in entomology while allowing young learners to express themselves creatively!
