In this 6 week class, Students will explore various treasures that have lost throughout history. We will look to discover what the treasure is, its value and contents, myths and legends surrounding it, and efforts used to try to locate and find each treasure. This class will be conducted in discussion form while using a number of photos, videos, manuscripts, and maps to help define and describe the treasure. This class will be broken down into the following schedule: Week 1: Treasure in America- Looking at the Treasure at Little Big Horn, Lost Barber Dimes, and Plummer's Gold Week 2: Treasure of the Nazi's- The Nazi Gold Train, Gold in Lake Toplitz, and the Royal Casket Week 3: Treasure of the Ancient World- The Ark of the Covenant, Treasure of the Copper Scroll, and the Lost Menorah Week 4: Shipwrecks & Pirates- Blackbeard's Treasure, Jean Lafitte's Treasure, and the Spanish Treasure Fleet of 1715 Week 5: Treasure of other Countries- The Amber Room, The Honjo Masamane, and the Awa Mara Week 6: Man-made Treasure Hunts- Fenn's Treasure, "The Secret," and the "Golden Owl"

I have a huge amount of experience teaching a wide array or history classes, as well as a sizable background in both the teaching and studying of anthropology and archaeology. In addition, I have a huge passion for ancient history and ancient civilizations.
