This is a Basic/Beginner level class for students who want to learn the basics in Spanish by practicing the topics and playing games to help retain Ideally, students would have the interest to learn Spanish and to practice.this is an introduction to the language. Students will be introduced to the language and learn basic phrases. This course allows time for young learners to listen, practice oral communication, and learn new vocabulary in Spanish. This course is for native/near-native English speakers to learn basic Spanish words, phrases, and vocabulary. This is not a Spanish immersion class, but rather a dual language taught in English and Spanish.
I am a native Spanish speaker born in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, and raised in the USA. I have certifications for teaching Spanish from the Universidad autónoma de Santo Domingo, as well as a degree in psychology from the NYU. I enjoy traveling and learning about different cultures, I love to share my passion for culture and the Spanish language with my student. I have taught Spanish to students of all levels and ages since 2014 and I specialize in Spanish heritage and culture. helping my students with pronunciation and at the same time learning the culture in cases the want to travel and want to have a Spanish experience that they are not just familiar with the language but are not strange to the different cultures and traditions.
