Class Experience

Loom knitting is a great skill to learn that is simpler for learners than typical knitting needles. There are so many projects you can make with a knitting loom. I have taught different ages to loom knit everything from scarves to shawls, ear warmers and hats. This class will be a follow up to our Loom Knitting 101 class.

Knitting Loom Progress and Questions
By this point, learners will have learned how to cast on, e-wrap and make an item.

This class will focus on casting-off the loom, finish any outstanding projects and make some fun items. Learner can choose to make a flower, pom pom or both!

Teacher expertise and credentials
My name is Cristina and I am on the East Coast. I have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resource Management and Minor in Communications and Geography. I have experience working with Elementary and Middle School aged students in a school setting and as a tutor. Also, I have worked with high school and college students in the area of career and college readiness. I am multi-lingual in Portuguese, Spanish, and have 4 years of French. I have worked with many ESL/EFL students of all ages, with varied levels of language understanding.

In my online classroom, there is a direct focus on fostering meaningful discussions to help guide learning. I believe that each learner may have a different learning style that should be encouraged. I welcome the diversity and love working with all students to include neuro-divergent learners. Students are encouraged to share their thoughts and discoveries while asking questions along the way. Knowledge is power!

Outside of the classroom, I am a homeschooling mom to three wonderful children, and Girl Scout Leader. We love visiting family and the beach! We are the proud owners of two small dogs and foster animals.

My classes will provide a fun and safe environment to learn and talk about some of our favorite things.

I hope to see you in class!
