**This class is also offered in a camp format and a 4-week format. In this 2-week class, students will learn how to loom knit a hat. Some skills we will cover are making a slip knot, casting-on, e-wraps (knit stitch), making a brim, casting-off and closing the hat. Class 1-Students will learn how to tie a slip knot, cast-on to the loom and do e-wrap (knit stitches) stitches. Students will work on their stitches during class while they can ask for help. Students will need to complete enough rows (approximately 18 rows) for the next class to create a brim. Class 2-I will show students how to make the brim. Students can ask for help in completing the brim during class. The rest of class, students will complete more rows and have the opportunity to ask questions or knit and socialize with their peers. For the next class, students will need to complete approximately 25 rows after the brim. Class 3-In this class, I will show students how to cast-off and close their hats. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions about their projects. Some students may need to go back and watch the class recording to help them close their hat. Class 4-In the last class, students will make a pom-pom for their hats. Students will share their work if they want to, and they can start on a new hat, ask questions or socialize for the remainder of class.

I hold an Ohio Teaching License in grades Pre-K through 5. I truly believe that everyone is gifted in some way, so I try to find the strengths in my students to assist in learning new material. It is my goal to make learning easy and fun. Currently, I live in Ohio and spend my days at home with my two children. My husband teaches high school World History and coaches golf. I enjoy crocheting, scrapbooking, golfing, and using my Cricut to make unique gifts.
