Students will exchange information on a topic by asking relevant questions and affirming others. Students will state an opinion on an issue by first qualifying a point of view using precise phrases. Students will listen attentively, restate a partner’s (or teacher's) idea, and take brief notes using precise phrases. Students will be able to compare experiences using complete sentences and key phrases. Students will be able to describe the effects of a person’s behavior using a complex sentence with present tense verbs.
In my class, I want to nurture self-pride and self-identity in each student’s linguistic and cultural heritage. I have been teaching ESL online since July 2018. I have been teaching advanced levels in writing and speaking. I have taught over 4,700+ classes to over 490 children living in China and Asia. I teach 1-on-1 online full immersion English language and content classes. I engage students using total physical response, clear annunciation, and appropriate expression. I try and simplify English immersion curriculum instruction to beginning learners and extend for advanced learners. I work with children ages 4 to 17 to develop English speaking, reading, and writing skills. I provide consistent feedback about students' progress and administer formal testing as needed.
