Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this one-time class, students will learn various yoga positions in a relaxing environment. We will begin with stretching to warm up. Then we will begin our yoga poses. The yoga poses will include stretching and balancing to help improve the students' flexibility over time. I will guide them by demonstrating the poses and monitoring them to help them master them pose to the best of their ability. The student will be guided by deep breathing techniques as well, during the poses. No experience or prior knowledge is required for this class. There will be time for questions and answers as well.
Learning Goals
Students will improve that knowledge of yoga through poses and deep breathing. They will learn balance, flexibility, and mindfulness through yoga practice.
Other Details
Parental Guidance
It is recommended that students have an open space to practice with no slippery surface. In addition, please wear comfortable clothing. Students need to be able to move around with little or no objects near them. There is a risk of injury with yoga.

Bachelor's Degree from Guilford College
I have been practicing yoga since I was a teenager. Later, I decided to become a 200-HR certified yoga instructor. I am a fitness enthusiast. I encourage my six children to stay active as well. I work out in my free time. I love to hula hoop and do yoga. In addition, I am a dancer. I have homeschooled for 20 years and coordinated fitness classes in an educational co-op. At least 4 days a week, I go walking with my younger sons. Staying active is very important to me.
