The students will be taught different spelling patterns for long vowel words such as silent e and vowel teams. We will also practice fluency and comprehension of long vowel words. This will all be done in a fun and engaging lesson with catchy phrases to help remember the patterns, pictures, and props. The prior knowledge I would like for the students to have would be to recite the 5 vowels. I hope that you will consider joining us for this interactive reading class as we explore long vowels.
