Class Experience
In this one-day course, learners will be immersed in long division. I will guide students through how to complete long division math problems, we will work through some problems together, and then we will practice to enhance learner confidence and comprehension of math word problems. Long division can be one of the more complex and confusing topics covered in elementary math. This course allows students to work through this intimidating topic in a fun, safe environment. Students will become more confident in their math problem solving abilities. They will learn the basics of long division and practice working both numerical and word problems involving long division.
Learners will need something to write with and something to write on. A notebook and pencil, paper and pencil, or a whiteboard and dry erase marker are all great options. No calculators!! We can do this on our own (:
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
