I will guide students through how to complete long division math problems, we will work through some problems together, and then we will play some fun games to enhance learner confidence and comprehension of math word problems. Students will become more confident in their math problem solving abilities. They will learn the basics of long division and practice working both numerical and word problems involving long division.
Learners will need something to write with and something to write on. A notebook and pencil, paper and pencil, or a whiteboard and dry erase marker are all great options. No calculators!! We can do this on our own (: They will also need access to a phone or tablet, or the ability to view two browser windows simultaneously for the closing game of Kahoot! There is a mobile app, or students can play using the website and game code, which will be made available during class.
