Description

Class Experience

Let's rebel against the common advice: "don't explain the joke!" 

Understanding humor is often a key factor to effectively engaging an audience. Humor is needed in writing and communicating. While it sometimes seems there's an inherent humor skill that's given to some humans (and other humans, well, not-as-much), humor can be taught. While ultimately humor is subjective, we can still study and discuss common ideas of what usually makes something funny.

During this class, we will discuss...

Learners will be expected to be able to access 2 simultaneous devices during class: one device to take class and another device to play Quiplash. I recommend that learners use a computer to access class and a tablet/smartphone to play the game.

In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:jackbox games
