Class Experience

In this one-time 40 minute class intended for students ages 5-10 years, I will lead a show and tell open discussion about LOL OMG and LOL JK dolls. Students are encouraged to bring their doll to class. This is a light and fluffy class intended to promote comfort and independence in the online classroom. '
"Open sharing and discussing as a class as well as having fun is the goal!"
Letting students talk about the LOL series line, and details of their dolls. It's a nice break for the students, allowing them time to talk about a subject that interests them with like-minded students. We will show and tell while discussing LOL dolls. During our class together students will learn the value of respecting others in a classroom setting, waiting for our turn to speak, and learn specific classroom discussion skills in an online classroom setting- these are the basic skills of the online classroom. This class also allows students to do the majority of the talking, getting them comfortable with the online classroom.
This course is an excellent class for those new to outschool or the virtual classroom experience, and for those who may not be comfortable with online learning yet.
It's also an excellent place for students who just like to talk about LOL dolls!
The beauty of discussion is everyone has the opportunity to gain some social skills and interaction via the online classroom. Students will have a chance to speak and explain the details of their doll. Students will gain valuable social skills, learning how to interact, gain confidence in an online setting, and learn classroom etiquette while having a great time discussing and sharing their doll with the classroom.

Master's Degree from Ashford University
Hello,
My name is Phyllis, Welcome to my profile. I'm a retired nurse and hold a master's degree in healthcare administration by personal profession.

Some of my classes are about the witch trials of early European and American history which constitute a formative event in our civil society’s evolution. They expressed a theocratic mindset supported by civil power over life and death. The significance of this information serves as an object lesson in governance and in the world we live in today.
( For these lecture classes: My history classes are lecture style and content heavy. This means that your child is not required to ask questions, read passages, or even have their camera on, except to verify their initial identity. I do not coerce participation; they can choose to participate as much or as little as they desire. If you are looking for a class with tons of games and group activities, these lecture classes are not what you're looking for.)

If you want to learn incredible facts about history, and women's history; these are the classes for you!

As a person who has been researching these topic for over twenty years, I use a wide range of verified resources and different types of sources that are not only scholarly but also non-secular. I make a point to select my resources deliberately and with the age group and verified data in mind. I have made a practice of collecting, recording, and verifying years of data on the subject of the witch-trails, ancient traditions and teachings, and ancient history and cultural beliefs.
I can make connections between various sources of data, processing it into understandable and relatable information. The information taught in my classes is verifiable and based on actual historical records. My classes will get your students thinking and generating new questions to ask about our collective pasts. Without knowledge of our past, we undoubtedly place ourselves on a path to repeat those mistakes. I feel confident that I can teach your students objective and unbiased history based on pure historical facts.

My teaching journey started years ago in my nursing career, but more recently I began teaching English to young students in China three years ago and LOVED it. Teaching has brought such tremendous joy to my heart and a feeling of job satisfaction.

I hold certificates in TEFL, TESOL, and ELL/ESL as an endorsed educator as well.

I hope to see your student in class!
