LOL, and OMG surprises can be lots of fun! Please bring your favorite dolls to class as inspiration for your story. After each student has had the opportunity to share, we will then begin the process of unlocking the story ideas. I will assist the student to practice developing an outline. I will also provide visual images designed to prompt creative thinking. Together we will brainstorm and develop the characters, plot, and storyline. Students will design a story outline with exciting and interesting sentences around one/or several of their favorite LOL/OMG dolls.
I have always been obsessed with writing. I remember in the third grade I wrote a short story and my teacher chose me to present it in a city-wide oratory. I was hooked, I wanted to be a writer. In college, I took many classes in writing but they seemed to stifle my creativity and my career took a different direction. For me, writing is a way of breaking away from reality because, as one of my professors told me, paper will never reject my pen. Now, I enjoy blogging, journaling, and teaching creative writing to young learners. I hope to see your child in my classroom!
