LOL and OMG Dolls - Directive Drawing and Chat
Students will engage in discussion about their favorite LOLs and OMG dolls while they follow directive drawing that will enable them to recreate their favorite doll or invent a new doll.

Does your child enjoy the LOL and OMG collections? Well, this may be the perfect class for them! In this one-time class: o Students are invited to share their favorite OMG Doll. o Students will then practice the following step-by-step directions as they draw the basic face and body of an OMG doll. They will then be invited to follow me while I complete Splatters (my favorite OMG). o Students may also have time to draw the second doll of their own choice. Who will you draw? which OMG is your favorite? While coloring their artwork, there will be lots of time for doll socialization. I work with the students so that all students be "un-muted" and share thoughts, ideas, and laughter so it is helpful if they are in a location that is free of background noise or they have a headset. I work with them to manage taking turns and to be Zoom polite. Each student will be invited to share their fun drawings with the group. No drawing experience is necessary.

I believe that learning should be fueled by joy and creativity. I find that students learn best when they are engaged in creative activities, conversation, and problem-solving with a teacher that they trust. I am known for my fun. interactive teaching style, I love to interject smiles and laughter into the classroom. Building confidence is the key to creating a successful learning environment so my classes are filled with positive encouragement.
I have a degree in Business Administration and Education with certification in Applied Behavioral Analysis. This education combined with my classroom, online, and homeschool experience provides me with the skills and experience to guide children to be successful.
My passions include art, writing, animals, traveling, and child growth and development. You will see these themes in the classes I teach.
I have 4 adult children and 8 grandchildren, they bring me joy! My grandchildren and their passions have provided me with some of my most fun class ideas.
I have spent the past 10 years traveling the world. I have trekked through the rainforest, swam with turtles, and enjoyed several of the wonders of the world. I have based many of my classes around these first-hand experiences.
Some fun facts about me:
I have a Havanese pup named Lola. Did you know that the Havanese breed is from Cuba and they used to be circus clowns for kings and queens? She is a riot!
I have been to Italy 11 times and I'm not even Italian!
I used to be a dental assistant so I love to go to the dentist!
