Class Experience

Students will learn how to think and express themselves in a clearer way.
Students will engage with ideas over periods of time.
Students will interact with other people through listening and speaking in real time and asynchronously.
In this course I've used an innovative design to engage online learners in critical thinking and develop general English language and composition skills.

Research shows how providing a thinking framework can help learners think and communicate. Education researchers (Swartz & McGuinness, Developing and Assessing Thinking Skills, 2014) also found that if adults can use the same framework outside the classroom to really help learners improve their skills.

Classes make use of Google docs within the web conference environment. Students share a document.

Access to Google docs.
Relatively rigorous assessment will be possible using this method, if time and interest allow.
2 hours 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
This class is ongoing and new. I'm open to your feedback.
