This is an on-going class for learners that love puzzles, logic, and critical thinking. These puzzles are often used in gifted programs to develop logic and deductive reasoning skills. In this class, learners will learn to think through the clues given and solve the puzzles based on the clues. They will be encouraged to share their thinking process as they complete the puzzles. They will learn through their own strategies and hear the strategies of other learners as well. By doing so, they will learn different strategies to solve the problems when their strategy might fall short. Each class will have multiple levels of puzzles to challenge beginners as well as veterans to matrix puzzles. Expect to be challenged. NOTE: This is a continuation class for "Debby Certified GATE Teacher" who is resigning as of the end of March, 2024. I am a certified educator with 20 years teaching experience. I've taught both elementary and middle school, as well as been a gifted education teacher for over half of my teaching career. Gifted education is a special passion of mine so many of my classes are tailored towards gifted and/or high-level learners, however I'm happy to work with any student who is interested in learning and growing. My ultimate goal is to create classes and activities which encourage students to step up their thinking with a little bit of challenge, all while having fun in a safe, nurturing, and caring environment.
