Description

Class Experience

This inclusive class is specifically designed for young learners.  As a speech-language pathologist, I embed language-learning and early social skills within play, movement, music, and books!

In this class, we will celebrate Valentine's Day! This class will be structured like a Preschool Circle Time class. 

*Greetings - Each student will be greeted by their name
*Calendar - **This is time-permitting -- some classes may not include calendar time.
*Letter of the week - Letter V
*Song -...

Students will celebrate Valentine's Day while engaging in a preschool circle time class. This class focuses on the following skills:

*vocabulary
*temporal concepts (days of the week)
*weather concepts
*social skills
*show n tell
*letter / sound awareness (letter V)
*following directions
*and much more!!!

  1 file available upon enrollment*Show N Tell - bring a favorite valentine item to share with the class! 

*Color hearts worksheet -- see attached (can either color and cut out before class OR cut out the pre-colored worksheet) - if you don't have a printer, feel free to find something in the following colors (red, pink, yellow, blue, green, purple). This is optional but recommended. :)

*We will go on a class scavenger hunt and look for the following items. It would be helpful to have them nearby during class: 
-something in the shape of a heart
-something shiny
-something you love
-something pink
-teddy bear (or stuffed animal)
-something you love to read
-something soft

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

Please be sure to have a little space around your child to move around (for the scavenger hunt). Parental supervision may be needed depending on your child's abilities.
