Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their knowledge of the following:

Science:
Scientific research and data collection
The Doppler Effect
Newton's Laws of Gravity
Centripetal Force
Satellites 
Acceleration and Velocity


Math:
Data Collection
Tables
Graphing:  Line plots, x-y graphs, bar graphs, line graphs
Unit Conversion:  Metric to Customary System
Making Inferences from Data




Students may have occasional activities to do outside of class; however, most activities should be able to be completed during our live sessions.
Handouts will be provided in each section.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Formative assessments include teacher observation of in class discussion, practice and participation. At the end of the session, students will submit their compiled shark data via email.  There will be an in class review on the final day.  
1 hour 50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
