US Grade 2 - 5
Beginner Level
In this fun, single-session class, we will break down the shapes and colors of different frozen treats. Students will choose their favorites to draw, then select the type of medium (crayon, marker, paint, or a combination) to complete their compositions. We will explore the idea of how they would cast a shadow if they were laying on a table, and draw or paint shadows on each treat. Because students work at varied paces, artwork may or may not be finished/colored before class ends. Students who finish after class has ended are encouraged to photograph and upload their creations into the classroom!

As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
