US Grade 4 - 7
Beginner - Intermediate Level
In this class, we will use simple shapes to construct the main shape of the phoenix, then focus on smaller details, such as individual "fire" feathers, eyes, beak, legs, etc. to create a detailed drawing of a flying phoenix. Because students work at varied paces, artwork may or may not be finished/colored before class ends. In addition, in cases in which only 1-2 students are in attendance, there is a strong possibility that class will finish early. They still get the same quality content, but less time is taken up with introductions and student questions/conversations. Students who finish after class has ended are encouraged to photograph and upload their creations into the classroom!

As a licensed art teacher, I have developed techniques for breaking down drawing lessons into simple, easy-to-follow steps. Once we get the basics done, I give my students freedom to complete their project using their own imagination, thereby giving them the opportunity to take what I have taught them to a different, fun and creative level.
