Neurographic art is a fun and very relaxing activity. In this class, we will draw 3-5 simple lines and a few shapes with pencil. After tracing the lines with a Sharpie or similar permanent marker, we will create "connections," which look like puddles of ink, wherever any lines cross each other. These also tend to look like neurons, or brain cells! After finding and filling all of the connections, learners will use the media of their choice to fill the resulting shapes in as many colors as they would like. The sample image was colored using watercolor pencils with water to spread the pigment like paint.

I love teaching kids how to draw! Throughout my career, I have developed ways to break down an art process that seems difficult into small, easy to follow steps that break down the difficulty and fear, and help the student experience success.
