Class Experience

I will be live on location at Stone Henge. I will give a brief history of the Stones, why they came to be in the south of England, who brought them and erected them and why.

I will then talk about some of the myths and stories Stone Henge appears in.

The students can ask me questions and I will get as close to the Stones as is allowed.

This class will be quite flexible in style as I will be on location, in a place where students may not ever get to go themselves. I want the students to take this opportunity to learn and see something different.

Learning Goals

The students will learn the history of this famous English landmark and also some of the stories around it.

Non-US Teaching Certificate in English/Language Arts
Hi! I am a teacher from England, UK. I have taught in UK schools and one school in Belgium. I have taught English online for six years. I am a regularly published writer, and have just released another novel. I teach English grammar lessons, and I have just started to teach literature from the US syllabus.
The values and philosophy behind my teaching are that of providing a high standard of education. The content of my lessons are purely grammar and literature because I love languages and so this is where my focus is. I have a big sense of humour and love teaching.
All learners are welcome in my classes. I have autism, as does my husband, so if your learner has any additional needs, please mention it to me before the lesson.
Your learner may want to use the writing messaging service available in Zoom lessons to send me a message if they are not comfortable with speaking in front of other learners.
I speak other languages (French, Chinese, Gaelic and Dutch) so I am aware of the needs of learners who come from other language backgrounds.
All learners get equal attention from me, including in classes where there is more than one learner.
Outside of Outschool, I work out at the gym, hike and work at music festivals, football (soccer) matches and all sorts of other events.
