US Grade Preschool - Kindergarten
*January 16th - 19th we are learning about sea turtles* Each week we will study a new animal by taking a look at their habitat, their social and physical features and their diet. We will also think about what sounds the animal makes and we will discuss our personal experience with the animal. Some animals we will study are sharks, llamas, sloths, butterflies, hyenas, owls and many more! I would love to take suggestions for whatever animal your learner is interested in. We will complete a simple drawing of that week's animal at the end of class. We will observe real pictures and videos of animals to gather our empirical data about them. This is a very interactive class that is perfect for kids who are curious about nature and animals. This class is full of fun, laughter and age appropriate content. I hope to see you soon!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello! My name is Teresa Kellogg and I live in Eagle, Colorado USA! I am a homeschooling mom of three. I received my B.A. Degree in Sociology from University of Northern Colorado.
I am a nature and science lover! I studied both math and social sciences in college. I love fostering curiosity about nature and science in little kids. My passion is teaching nature, science and math to kids ages 3-7. I have experience teaching math, science, language arts, ESL, and social sciences. I believe that curiosity about the world and people around us is the best learning tool. Kids are naturally curious and I love bringing nature into the classroom.
I am an adventurer and have lived in Colorado my entire life. I have come across many animals during my adventures. I love researching wildlife safety and teaching my own kids how to treat animals. I camp, hike, fish and swim in the Colorado wilderness all year long. I also am a photographer and videographer. I am a homeschool mom and I have loved every step of this adventure with my kids so far.
I am a very silly and fun teacher. My classroom is filled with smiles and laughter! I am a firm believer in play based learning. I love using both verbal and physical engagement throughout class. Every student gets the opportunity to express themselves in my classroom. Let’s have fun together!
In every single one of my classes your child can expect to have fun, make a connection and learn some interesting facts about nature.
