Class Experience

Upon completion of this course, the student will be able to:
1. Define social entrepreneurship.
2. Brainstorm ideas to develop a strategy to fight a problem
3. Develop a social entrepreneurial/ super hero mindset
4. How to release his or her voice for good.
The teacher is a social entrepreneur and superhero at heart. Check out her bio to learn more. Also, please note that students will briefly discuss the United Nations 17 SDGs (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/). The teacher is familiar with this age group and will always make sure that the issues and sharing are age-appropriate. 
Homework will be assigned for research, art project, and to practice pitch design and presentation.

Notes: Superhero attire required for camp, students need to wear a cape and mask in attendance.
On the last day of camp, the verbal presentation assessed, and students will achieve his or her Little Superhero status.
3 hours 45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
Parent this camp will discuss the United Nations 17 SDGs (https://www.un.org/sustainabledevelopment/sustainable-development-goals/ and https://youtu.be/7V8oFI4GYMY). Topics addressed in an age-appropriate way.  Please review the link to understand the issues (i.e., poverty, hunger, etc.).
