In this ongoing class, learners will complete a weekly hands-on science experiment! Little scientist's will have the opportunity to discuss their hypothesis, experiment, and findings.
Class experience
In this ongoing class, little learners will be exposed to a plethora of creative and fun hands-on science experiments and projects covering various science topics.. These experiments and projects will encourage learners to identify the various concepts of science behind what they are doing weekly. Science experiments are about doing, testing, and observing from beginning to end...also to have TONS of FUN! Another great opportunity with this class will be the discussion with other learners!...
Learners will improve their understanding of various science concepts through hands-on learning.
Below is the supply list needed for four weeks at a time and will updated each week for better preparation. -------------APRIL EXPERIMENTS------------- **No classes April 1st - 8th in observation of Spring Break. Families will not be charged this week.** 🥛 (April 7th - 13th) - Magic Milk 🪄 • 1-2 cups milk • food coloring • liquid laundry detergent (or dish soap) • multiple q-tips • pie dish 🌪️ (April 14th - 20th) - Tornado In A Bottle 🫙 • 2 identical plastic bottles (2 liter or 16oz bottles) The smaller bottles are great for little hands. • Food coloring (optional) • At least two cups of water • Duct tape • glitter (optional) • Tornado Tube or connector (optional) 🌧️ (April 21st - 27th) - Rain Cloud In A Jar 🫙 • mason jar • plenty of baby oil (typically 3/4 full) • white foam shaving cream • 2 cups water • blue food coloring • dropper or a plastic water bottle with lid (if you use the plastic bottle with lid method, you will need to poke holes in the lid)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Each week will be different in terms of experiments and what is used, but it is important for learners to have an adult near by for assistance.
