Little Red Riding Hood Adventures - Logic Coding Primer

Help Little Red Riding Hood make it safely to Grandma's house. Learners will be introduced to the idea of screen-free coding by creating a path and using a sequence of directional tiles to avoid the Big Bad Wolf and some obstacles.

Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their problem-solving skills and sense of direction.
 1 file available upon enrollment
🔹Printed file of the tiles and game board, cut prior to class. - provided upon sign-up 🔹Cardboard / cardstock (or print directly on cardstock) 🔹Glue 🔹Sheet protector / laminating sheet / packaging tape - optional 🔹VELCRO® Dots or Coins (or similar) - optional Directions: 1. Print the file provided then glue on a cardboard OR print directly on cardstock to save a step (gluing). 2. Cut. (Tiles should be cut separately). 3. Cover with a sheet protector or laminate. (Tiles should be laminated / covered with packaging tape separately then cut). - optional 4. For quick and easy repositioning, using VELCRO® Dots or Coins (or similar) is recommended. Peel tape from fastener and press firmly into place on the game board and on the back of each tile pieces. - optional
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
