Little Musicians Primer - Private Piano Lessons

In this 6-week course, students will learn piano songs, theory, and techniques on a primer level.  Students are able to enroll every 6 weeks to continue this course until the Primer Books are complete. 
We will use the piano book for learning songs and the supplemental book for Theory & Technic exercises. 
Students can begin at this level with little to no experience in playing the piano. Some may take approximately 9 months to complete the two Primer books.  But, in this private lesson learners can review concepts as needed or move faster as needed and at their own pace! 

My method of teaching is patient, personable, and supportive. I love teaching young students new concepts. 

A few concepts covered in the Primer A lessons include: 
-Learning the keyboard
- Playing black keys 
-Learning the middle C 
-Learning the white keys
-Learning whole notes and half notes
- Learning quarter notes and dotted quarter notes
- Learning the notes on the staff

A few concepts covered In the Primer B lessons include: 
-Middle C positions 
-Time signatures
-Intervals
-A Tie and Slur
-Using rests 
-Playing the G position 
- Playing notes with bass clef and treble clef with both hands
