Class Experience

This book club gives students a sweet, gentle way to socialize and gain friendship skills while enjoying stories in a creative and imaginative way.  Participants are given opportunities to engage through conversation, drawing, and acting out parts of our story.  Learners solidify their understanding of the concept of the week by offering Little Mouse advice and by helping her practice social skills.

A typical day in class:
-We say hello to our fellow learners and to Little Mouse.
-Little...

Please have some drawing materials nearby, such as paper and crayons or markers.  Learner may choose whether to draw their ideas, but is helpful to have the materials nearby just in case.
Optional: Learners are invited to share a book related to the theme of the week, so if your learner is interested in doing this please have the book nearby, with a bookmark in a favorite page to share.

25 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
