Description

Class Experience

This class is intended for students who have completed a second grade curriculum as a summer refresher before they begin third grade. We will focus on addition and subtraction strategies as well as mental math strategies through different games and activities. Students will have plenty of opportunities to work with partners and play small group games. It is important for students to be active participants in class.

Students will improve their number sense. 
Students will be able to add numbers with up to 4 digits accurately.
Students will be able to subtract numbers with up to 4 digits accurately.
Students will be able to break numbers apart to add them mentally.

No Homework!

1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
