In this one-time course, learners will discover the age-appropriate foundational elements of manners and etiquette in a fun, dynamic classroom setting. Using the traditional Emily Post etiquette guidelines, we will cover the basics of: - Polite Greetings - Handshakes - Please and Thank You - Table Manners The class is structured as an interactive lecture with Q&A, if time permits. As an educator, I bring a lot of encouragement to learners and focus a lot of my attention on confidence in communication. I believe that this class is an investment into the life skills that your learner will carry throughout the rest of his or her life!
Learning Goals
Students will improve their understanding of 4 main elements of etiquette: Greetings, handshakes, please and thank you, and table manners.

The etiquette materials will be based upon Emily Post's book, "Emily Post's Etiquette." This book is not a requirement for class, but it is a great resource for your family for future learning.

Hello! It's a pleasure to meet you. I am Mrs. Meade, and I'm excited to offer my communications, English, and life skills classes on Outschool.
I am passionate about equipping our next generation of students to be effective communicators. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Clemson University and have been a digital creator for almost two decades, reaching over 2 million people through my videos. I own a professional video production company and FM radio station, and I'm also a best-selling author.
In addition, I have served as a youth volunteer for middle and high school students and an in-person ESL instructor in Germany for middle and high school students. My experience includes 15+ years in professional communication, helping people communicate clearly and confidently on video and everyday life.
In my classes, I will provide your learner with practical and real-world examples of expert communication. Students can apply these skills for the rest of their lives, both digitally and in person.
My classes accomplish a two-fold mission: provide challenging material to give parents and students the best educational experience possible and have A LOT of fun! 🎉
