In this class teacher will read a book, and I will ask comprehension questions about the story. Teacher will discuss characters in the story main idea of the story and will get the student to retell the details in the story. My style of teaching in asking questions as we go along showing pictures in the book and giving praise and feedback. There is no prior knowledge the learner must have to participate in the classroom. Student will develop listening skills learn to interact with others which develop their social skills. Being on a virtual platform will make student more technology savvy. Student get an opportunity to develop critical thinking skill that would help them when the go to an in person classroom.
There will not be any homework in this course being its a one time class.
The progressed will be assessed through asking comprehension questions about the book Corduroy. by Don Freeman
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
