In this 28 week course, students will learn the Spanish alphabet, colors, numbers, shapes, feelings, days of the week, weather words, and more. This will become the foundation that will help students learn Spanish in future levels.

Beginner Level
In this 28-week foundational Spanish class, young learners will meet once a week in small groups for 25-minute sessions that build the basics of the Spanish language—perfect for beginners with no prior exposure. Each class features a review of previously learned content, new vocabulary, and fun, engaging songs. This course uses the Llamitas Spanish curriculum, a beautifully designed program for children ages 3–12. We’ll be working through Level 0, which introduces essential building blocks like the Spanish alphabet, numbers 1–20, colors, shapes, days of the week, months, emotions, weather terms, and more. These foundational concepts will prepare students for success in later levels. Through colorful PowerPoint slides, catchy songs, interactive worksheets, and simple phrases, students will develop listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills in Spanish. To get the most out of this course, learners are expected to practice daily and come prepared each week. Since classes build on one another, mastering each concept is key. Parents are encouraged to support at home by reviewing worksheets and helping students memorize songs and vocabulary. While missed classes cannot be made up live, recordings will be provided to ensure continuity in learning.
Learning Goals
Students will be introduced to Spanish phonics in a gentle manner while learning all the letters of the Spanish alphabet, vocabulary with each letter, colors, numbers through 20, shapes, days of the week, weather words, and months of the year.

In this lesson, the teacher will introduce herself, get acquainted with all students, and give a brief overview of the course and how class will be conducted. Sra. Manning will be informing students and parents of the supplies required for each class and the homework expectations will be laid out. Pre-Requisites
No knowledge of Spanish is necessary for this level.
Supply List
Students will need to have the worksheets for each class printed and ready to go. They will also need a pencil and eraser for each session. Please make sure your child comes prepared.
