In my online elementary show and tell class, I aim to provide a nurturing and engaging environment for young learners to develop their communication, presentation, and social skills. Throughout the course, students will have the opportunity to explore various themes and topics as they share their own personal interests and experiences with their classmates. The main goal is to foster creativity, confidence, and active participation in a safe and supportive online setting. The class will cover a range of themes such as family, pets, hobbies, favorite books/movies, and special achievements. The class structure is designed to ensure a balance between individual presenting and group participation. Each session will begin with students taking turns to share their show and tell presentations. Following the presentations, there will be time for questions and discussions, allowing learners to engage with each other by asking about their classmates' presentations, sharing thoughts, and providing feedback. I will use a variety of teaching methods to keep the class engaging and interactive. This may include visual aids such as slides or video clips to enhance the presentations, interactive games to promote active participation, and encouraging students to share their thoughts and ideas through discussions. I will also provide constructive feedback to help students improve their presentation skills. My teaching style is supportive and encouraging. I believe in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing themselves. I will provide guidance and personalized feedback to each student, helping them develop their speaking skills, organization, and presentation techniques. Kentucky Teaching Certificate in Elementary Education
Hello! My name is Mrs. Courtney.
I have a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education P-5 and Special Education P-12. I have my Masters Degree in Teacher Leadership and I am working on my doctorate in Online Education and Curriculum Development. I have over 8 years of teaching experience. I have taught high school special education, and elementary education and I have had the opportunity to travel all over the world each day (through the help of online teaching platforms) to teach students how to speak English. Currently, I am an online private school educator and teach here on the side.
I love all things education and my interests span a whole plethora of different things. You never know where you might find Mrs. Courtney and you never know what classes may show up!
One thing is for sure, I teach with compassion, encouragement, and a whole lot of laughter.
I would love the opportunity to work with your child and encourage them to fall in love with learning all over again! 🖤
