Description
Class Experience
Learners will improve their understanding of various science concepts, and how different materials combined can create amazing things. Learners will identify the process through hands-on learning.
(Monday) - Skittles Rainbow - 2 bags of skittles - room temperature water - round glass plate - 5 small clear cups - spoon ------------------------------- (Tuesday) - Fluffy Slime - White Elmers School Glue - baking soda - saline solution - food coloring (learners choice) - water - shaving cream (white foam kind) ------------------------------- (Wednesday) - Rainbow Rain Cloud - clear jar or large cup - a few small containers - water - food coloring (learners choice in colors) - shaving cream (white foamy kind) - pipettes or children's medicine syringe - tray ------------------------------- (Thursday) - Elephant Toothpaste - empty water bottle(s) - hydrogen peroxide - food coloring (learners choice) - yeast - warm water - small container - dish soap - tray ------------------------------- (Friday) - Oobleck - water - plenty of cornstarch - food coloring - spoon - glitter (optional) - toys that can go into oobleck (optional)
2 hours 5 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
Please note, parents are more than welcome to assist their learners during the experiments but per Outschool Safety reasons parents must remain off camera.
