US Grade Preschool - 1
Beginner Level
****This is a 4 week FLEX class.  There are NO LIVE LESSONS.  Learners work at their own pace.  There will be one pre-recorded 10-20 minute lesson each week.  Worksheets and additional resources are included****

Are you looking for a fun, academic summer camp for your little learner, but they want to learn at their own pace and don't want to be in a live classroom?  Does your little learner love ocean animals?  Then this class is for them!

In this flexible summer camp we will practice the following early learning skills and concepts with a fun ocean theme:
Early Literacy
Math
Fine Motor
Gross Motor

Weekly Schedule:
SUNDAY at 8pm Eastern-  Pre-recorded video from 10-20 minutes will be uploaded into the classroom, along with worksheets and other resources that go along with the lesson.
WEDNESDAY by 8 am Eastern:  Optional Interactive Lesson will be uploaded

Week 1- Introduction and Early Literacy Concepts (Concepts of Print, Comprehension)

Week 2-Letters and Sight Words

All learners will receive a certificate of completion at the end of week 4.

(Optional) Interactive Activities:
Week 1:  Find or draw an ocean animal picture or  a stuffed animal you have and share it.
Week 2:  Find something with your grown-up that starts with letters O, S, or T
Week 3:  Pick a color that we learned about this week, and find things that are that color.  Tell me how many  you have 
Week 4:  Complete the Ocean Animal Craft and share it

All learners that sign up for camp will receive enrichment resources that they can complete with their grown-up to further their academic skills and learning.

Syllabus

4 Lessons
over 4 Weeks
Lesson 1:
Introduction and Early Literacy Concepts
 In this lesson your learner will be introduced to early literacy concepts (comprehension, concepts of print). They will complete a question of the day, graph, sing an animal song, do an ocean animal sorting exercise, and listen to a read-aloud of Hello World: Ocean Life by Jill McDonald. 
Lesson 2:
Letters and Sight Words
 In this lesson your learner will be introduced to the letters Oo, Ss, and Tt.  The sight word they will be introduced to is: see.  They will also complete a question of the day, and complete ocean animal exercises. 
Lesson 3:
Early Math Concepts
 In this lesson your learner will complete counting activities, and sort colors.  They will also complete a question of the day, and do ocean animal exercises. 
Lesson 4:
Wrap-Up and Craft
 This week wraps up our class.  Learners will sing songs, do ocean animal exercises, and complete an ocean animal craft.

all learners are invited to participate in my classes. Please let me know if specific learning accommodations are needed for your learner. Since this is a self-paced class you can accommodate all activities to what you think is best.
