Description

Class Experience

Students will increase their Spanish proficiency and will be able to talk about bedtime and waking up, numbers, a traditional nursery rhyme, and understand some high-frequency expressions and vocabulary in context.
I have an M.Ed with a concentration in Spanish. My bachelor's degree was in Spanish with a concentration in Secondary Education. I hold a PK-12 Spanish teaching license and have taught high school Spanish for the past 10 years. I have taught online ESL classes to younger children, ages 5-12, and am currently teaching Spanish to my 3-year-old son. I studied abroad in Salamanca, Spain, and have traveled to various Spanish-speaking countries.
Optional extension and reinforcement activities will be provided for parents to help their child practice what was learned. Acquisition occurs when students receive lots and lots of input. The more opportunities for input that you give your child, the more they will acquire.
Handouts like printable coloring pages, mini-books, and picture cards, bingo sheets will be provided. Students should have a printer available to print materials to use during class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
