Description

Class Experience

Join me for calm, friendly, fun stories and activities suitable for pre-school children. Each session is carefully structured to tie in with the story of the week and children are encouraged to participate in a range of activities including, colouring, show and tell, sounds and music, and games. 

This class is a great way to help your child feel comfortable socialising with other children and for them to begin to feel settled in group activities.

This class supports Social and Interpersonal Skills, as well as Language and Literacy Skills:

> Getting along with other children and adults and developing good relationships with teachers
> Oral language skills and improving vocabulary
> Literacy skills, such as letters of the alphabet
> Listening comprehension and motivation to read
> Fine motor skills; drawing, colouring, writing
> Following classroom rules

Any printable resources that support the story theme will posted in the classroom 48 hours before the class session. Learners will need access to coloring pens and pencils. Some resources may need to be prepared before class for learners to use during the session.

40 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
