Class Experience
Hello! I LOVE teaching children, and I love getting to know them on a deeper level. I am passionate about connecting with and engaging students in my classes. My goal with this circle time is to have a group of consistent learners who can get to know each other and learn and grow together. I would love to know the topics that the kids are passionate about so I can tailor classes to fit their interests. We are going to have so much fun learning together each week! INTRO: Each circle time...
We will practice literacy skills, STEAM skills, and music skills.
September: Sep 11-17: Leaves and Trees This week we will learn about the leaves and trees and how they change in the fall. Supplies: -paper -glue -leaves from outside -other decorative items: google eyes, sticks, pom poms, or whatever you have! Sep 18-25: Pets This week, students will learn about different types of pets. We will do pet songs and rhymes together. Your child can bring their favorite pet stuffed animal (or real pet!) to show the class. Supplies: -a pet (real or toy) for show and tell Sep 26-Oct 1: Elephants This week, students will learn the rhyme 'Five Elephants Went Out to Play.' Then, they will color their own elephant with a special trunk. Supplies: -elephant worksheet (will be posted in classroom, or message the teacher) *parents, please help your child cut the hole out of the middle of the paper, where the trunk goes, and they will stick the party blower in the hole as the elephant's trunk -a party blower (the kind that rolls up)
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
20 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
