Class Experience

US Grade 1 - 4
Welcome Outschool Engineers!

Have your engineers ever wondered and asked how different items around us work?

In this class, students will uncover various facts and simplified information that go along with each weeks S.T.E.M. challenge. Some examples of connecting our challenge to simplified information is, how constructing a "Pom Pom Popper" uses force, direction, and potential/kinetic energy! The activities we complete are hands-on, and apply to the world around us.

S.T.E.M. for students develops creators, thinkers, problem solvers, doers, innovators, and inventors!

Each week we will learn and discover together the amazing abbreviation of S.T.E.M.

S - Science
T - Technology
E - Engineering
M - Mathematics

Another great opportunity with this class will be the discussion with other students! Everyone has the opportunity to converse with peers, and to listen to shared experiences.

Students are able to join class at anytime as each meeting we cover new subjects and S.T.E.M. challenges!

Welcome! My name is Jessica (Teacher Jessica). I have my Master's in Elementary Education (multiple subjects)! I have taught in the 6th grade classroom, and as of the last four years I have been teaching here on Outschool!

My teaching experience has given me the knowledge and tools necessary to ensure all students can thrive inside and outside of the classroom. Being an elementary school teacher, I enjoy and have fun teaching in all areas; as you may notice with my class listings I enjoy doing a little bit of everything!

I love to enhance learning development, and to watch each student grow individually. I look forward to meeting your child!

Aside from work life, I have a husband and three little ones! Outside of teaching, we love to be outside in nature, reading is life, and family time is everything!
