Class Experience

Students will grow as authors by focusing on their illustrations and early sentence writing.
Though not required, I strongly encourage parents to have children write for at least 20 minutes each day to reinforce skills. This can be journaling, drawing time, helping make a grocery list, letter writing etc.
 1 file available upon enrollment
I will send sample writing paper prior to class beginning. Though students can use a lined notebook, paper with a box for a picture and 2-4 lines underneath is ideal for this developmental age! Students will also need: -2 pencils with erasers (in case one breaks!) -Crayons or colored pencils -Folder to store work Ideally, we stay away from pens because students sometimes get fixated if they make a mistake. Markers can be used but sometimes distract students from the writing. You know your little author best!
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
30 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
