Class experience
In this ongoing course learners will read, discuss and analyse a classic novel .Each month we will change novels . We will discuss both classic and modern books ranging from Steinbeck to Kafka. Many of these novels are studeied by students in the USA, UK and those who are studying for their IGCSE in many other countries. We will begin with a brief autobiography of the chosen author to place the novel in context before looking at symbolism, theme and structure and other literary devices. ...

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
At times there will be sensitive issues addressed in these novels, I would advise parents to check beforehand if they have any concerns.
Learners should have their own copy of the novel so they can read chapters in between classes.
