In this course we will cover one short story each week from The Tales from Outer Suburbia. We will discuss literary themes, character analysis and so much more. We will teach the kids creative writing skills, script writing skills and how that translates from the page to the stage or screen, basic makeup and costume design. This class is perfect for the student that wants to see how to turn words on a page to a theatre of the mind, physical realm or be able to translate it to film. You will be learning theatre from a professional actor. Lesson 1: "Eric:" Introduction to Creative Writing (Theme, Outlining, etc) Lesson 2: "No Other Country:" Writing Characters Lesson 3: "The Nameless Holiday" Writing Your Story Lesson 4: "Our Expedition:" Revising Your Story Note: Basic School Supplies and Printouts will be needed for portions of this class
