In this two-session class, students will meet with the teacher and peers to discuss the story.
Class experience
US Grade 4 - 6
Students will join their peers and teacher to have literature circle discussions about the story "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe" by C.S. Lewis. Students should read through chapter 9 for the first class session in order to be prepared for the discussion and complete the book for the second session. The instructor will guide the students in the discussion as needed, but will encourage the students to take the lead in discussing their thoughts and interests. This is an important...
Students will work on their comprehension skills, as well as social skills, while interacting with peers and teacher.
Vicky has been a certified teacher for 12 years in the public school system. She holds a bachelor of science in elementary education and a master of science in early childhood education. She has completed many additional courses outside of these degrees, including the coursework to become a certified reading recovery teacher for at risk students.
Homework Offered
Prior to each class, the students must complete their assigned reading. -For the first session, read through chapter 25. -For the second session, complete the book.Assessments Offered
