Students will have the opportunity to rank on a leaderboard based on the number of questions they answer correctly. This friendly competition fosters engagement and motivates students to strive for excellence.Class Experience
US Grade 3 - 6
In this course, students will learn how to master Tier 2 vocabulary words essential for academic success through high-impact learning sessions, enhancing their reading comprehension and test prep skills. They will read short fiction and/or nonfiction paragraphs with vocabulary words and identify their meanings, promoting critical thinking and contextual understanding. Expect an engaging environment with active interactions and exciting language exploration. The class is structured into interactive segments including practice test questions, active discussions, and brief lectures. My teaching style is hands-on and interactive, encouraging active participation. Students will frequently engage in discussions and collaborative activities to reinforce learning. Each session will feature unique questions.
Learning Goals

My name is Ms. Wilson, but everyone calls me Louwi. With 30 years as a passionate educator, I aim to help students excel through engaging resources and tailored learning experiences. I believe in guiding students towards self-efficacy, nurturing their love for learning, and fostering their development as independent problem-solvers. As a certified ELA and TESOL educator and executive function coach with a deep background in educational technology, my goal is to deliver engaging, standards-driven virtual learning experiences. My sessions encompass reading comprehension, writing skills, creative writing, grammar, organization, time management, and seamless integration of technologies, all tailored to meet each student's needs.
