Description

Class Experience

Students will improve their concentration and listening skills. We will recite and sing the letters of the alphabet, numbers, days of the week, seasons, colors, and the elements of design, each day uncovering a new lessons as we draw pictures. Students will learn a discussion technique that incorporates four main strategies—predicting, questioning, clarifying, summarizing—that good readers use together to comprehend text. Together we become aware, good listeners, and interactive participants.
Students will be encouraged and given suggestions on activities they can continue to do on their own and after class has ended.
Sketch paper and pencils, colored pencils, markers or crayons. Any of these art supplies will work for this class.
None
30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
