In this class, students will be introduced to different types of lines and what kind of emotions they can convey. Students then take that information and apply it to their own artwork of their hand. Students will learn about the 5 types and of lines and the variation of them. We will practice some of those lines before we start working on our art pieces. Once the student feels comfortable with our new technique, then they can use it to create an outline of their hand. We will do the design first by pencil and then trace with a FINE tip marker or felt tip pen. Then students can color their artwork in with color or in black and white. As we work on pictures, students will be provided with opportunities to share what they are doing with their pictures. I will also ask questions to encourage students to participate in conversations. ***Please note that students may not get their pictures completed in the allotted class time.
