Lightsaber for Beginners! Form III Soresu - Learn to fight like Obi-Wan
In this introductory lesson to lightsaber combat, I'll teach the basics of Form III, known as Soresu. This style of combat was used by Obi-Wan in the movies/shows and is highly defensive. No experience necessary, lightsaber required!

Beginner Level
Hello there! In this class I'll be teaching a lightsaber combat style known as Form III Soresu. This form was used by Obi-Wan Kenobi! This is a beginner level lesson where we will go over the following: -Lightsaber handling -Stance -Footwork -Basic Defense(Parry's and Blocks) -Basic Offense(Strikes and Slashes) -Soresu Padawan Drill for Practice I will start each class by letting your students in, one by one, and taking attendance. I'll introduce myself quickly before we begin. I'll be teaching your students by both showing with my own person, and explaining with my words. I encourage your learners to follow along the entire time I'm teaching, mimicking my moves and methods. I do plan to set time in every lesson for the kids to ask questions, or ask for help/clarification. If there aren't any questions I'd likely use this time to ask your kids about their favorite Jedi or characters, or how they enjoyed the lesson.

Hello there! My name is Joe Spinner, and I am a Jedi Knight. I teach Lightsaber combat for those who are interested in dueling with Lightsabers. The two primary forms that I teach are Form II: Makashi and Form III: Soresu.
I studied the ways of the Jedi at the Temple of the Jedi Order, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization founded in 2005. However, I've been practicing since I was but a little padawan myself. I teach by demonstrating techniques and instructions for students, as well as preparing drills for them to harness their skills and grow in ability. Whether you are new to the ways of the Force or looking to hone your skills, my classes will help you master the Lightsaber.
I teach as a way for kids, teens, and adults to connect with the fiction in a fun and healthy way. Not to mention that Lightsaber Dueling is a very real sport. It's recognized as a National Sport in France and there are many Lightsaber academy's around the United States that teach. Competitions and tournaments can be found all over the world!
Once I officiated the wedding of a Jedi I helped teach. There I was able to present him with my first dueling Lightsaber. I'm very proud of him.Reviews
