Children love stories! This class introduces Hand Shadow Theater, an ancient form of storytelling and entertainment. The children will use their hands and fingers to create shadows of animals which will serve as the characters in our fable (The Parrot and the Swan). They will enjoy interacting with one another as they reenact a fable which is filled with humor and drives home a moral message. For students to see the shadows they create with their hands, they will need to have access to a room which can be darkened and has a light source facing a blank wall.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
