Students will learn how Science helps us Explain Lights and Shadows. How can Light be used to Tell Time and Shadows can be used to Tell Stories. Students will Make their own Shadow Puppets and I'll Perform a Shadow Play for the Class.

The Science of Light and Shadows and the Art of using Shadows to tell Stories! Do you remember when Peter Pan lost his shadow? Where do shadows go when we can't see them? Students will learn the properties of a shadow by drawing shadows. They will learn how sundials used shadows to tell time and how the transparency of an object (opaque or translucent) affects its shadow. I will preform a shadow puppet show for our learners and in turn encourage them to create their own shadow stories....
Students will learn how shadows are formed. They will learn how shadows were used to tell time and why some objects don't cast shadows. Students will also be given templated to encouraged them to make their own shadow stories stimulating literacy, memory, imagination & creativity.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
